Hi! My name is Sumner and I've been cosplaying since the 2010 Matsuri. Every time I start a new costume, I aim to make the greatest my budget will allow.
I sew everything and make all of the props and accessories from scratch. There are a few select things from some of my costumes that I've bought and altered, but I try to restrain from doing that as much as possible.
For my Robin, in particular, I love to focus a tad bit more on realism, even if it strays a little bit from accuracy. I believe costumes are a bit more interesting when the fact when the cartoon or whatever has sprung off the screen, the touch of reality sets in.
